Twinspire's Me/We and What Matters Fellowship Program (July 2021-September 2021) offers a pathway for BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) and LGBTQIA2S+ youth and young adults with lived experience to discuss and make meaning of their racialized experiences, develop personal accountability behaviors, and improve their self-efficacy while embracing diversity. This 10-week series is a new initiative that recognizes the importance of training BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ policy contributors and advocates to discuss and implement strategies to enhance or change systems. Youth and young adults will have access to racial justice experts, current/relevant resources, as well as professional development opportunities.
This program will consist of training, coaching, and learning opportunities to support the advancement of BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) and LGBTQIA2S+ youth and young adults with lived experience. Each participant will be awarded a stipend of $250, a certificate, and a chance to present their final project to key child welfare stakeholders.
This program is funded by the GoCampaign.
